8日 Mingle

英語で、いろいろな人が交流することを"Mingle"と言うそうです。

日本の学生とカナダの学生、異なる研究領域の授業が混ざり合った一日でした。

新渡戸カレッジの学生が参加してから2日目、カナダの学生が率先して整理作業のやり方を指導しています。

At the second day for the Nitobe college students, the Canadian students taught them how to clean archaeological materials from the site.

 いろいろな研究領域の専門家による講義もこのフィールドスクールの特徴の一つ。
本日のお昼は、琉球大学の木村先生によるＤＮＡの講義。
Lectures by scholars from various disciplines are one of the features in this program.
Today we had 2 lectures.
The first is done by Dr. Kimura from Ryukyu Univ.

そして、夕方の講義は、ワシントン大学のフィッツヒュー先生によるクリル諸島（千島列島）で行われた考古学調査に関するものでした。

At the evening lecture, Prof. Fitzhugh gave a speech about Archaeological expedition at the Kuril island.
